Emma Nightingale
b. 1997 | Lives and works in London
Artist, Art Studio Manager, and Educator

Emma Nightingale (b. 1997) is a British artist whose intricate paintings and sculptural works explore themes of escapism, reverie, and psychoanalysis. Rooted in personal memory and emotional terrain, her compositions often centre on fluid groupings of figures and flora—symbolic vessels that speak to pain, resilience, and healing. Working intuitively and without a predetermined structure, Nightingale embraces spontaneity and reflection, allowing each work to evolve organically.

Nightingale holds a BA (First-Class Honours) in Fine Art from Falmouth University (2019). Her work has been exhibited internationally, with shows across the UK and New Zealand. Notable achievements include a residency and exhibition at the historic Porthmeor Studios in St. Ives, as well as recognition as a finalist in New Zealand’s 2021 National Contemporary Fibre Art Awards.
